Consultation & Diagnostic
The Obuasi Diagnostic Centre is a modern facility which employs experienced medical staff to ensure quality consultation and accurate diagnostic services. Our doctors and nurses are highly trained in general and specialist healthcare, and are committed to dispensing their duties in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
The facility also possesses modern diagnostic and medical equipment, and trains its staff to effectively utilize said equipment to properly diagnose any and every ailment.
Laboratory
The Laboratory Unit of the Obuasi Diagnostic Centre is one of the cornerstones of the facility’s success. The highly trained members of staff are dedicated to providing quality work and unimpeachable results. The laboratory boasts of several of the latest equipment like chemistry and haematology analysers, and many more. It is also begun performing Rapid Tests for malaria at a time when few laboratories in the country were doing so.
The facility also liaises with some of the best companies offering laboratory services in Ghana, in order to ensure that clients receive accurate results, and to occasionally corroborate our own results.
Ultrasound & Imaging
Our Ultrasound Unit is another cornerstone of the facility’s success. The Ultrasound Department was set up in 2002, being one of only two departments existing under the Obuasi Diagnostic Centre at the time. With the dedication of Management and the hardworking staff, this unit was able to contribute significantly to the burgeoning business, by giving our clients consistent and accurate results.
Physiotherapy
Customer satisfaction is a major factor which Management of the Obuasi Diagnostic Centre always considers when seeking to improve the facility’s services. It is with that aim that the facility now provides physiotherapy services. The Physiotherapy Gym houses an array of state-of-the-art equipment, which our highly trained staff aid patients utilise in order to decrease pain, improve joint mobility, improve cardio-respiratory function, and increase strength and co-ordination.
Employee Medical Screening
Obuasi is informally known as the ‘Golden City’ for its major gold mining activities over the years; and as a consequence of the major industrial activities within this community, many companies have been formed in and around the township. It is well-known that when companies employ new personnel, they usually require that entry medical examinations are conducted first. Some employers also require their employees to have regular medical screening in order to ensure that they are kept in good health at all times.
The Obuasi Diagnostic Centre, having recognised the viability of this service, has designed a comprehensive medical screening package for employers who wish to provide excellent preventative healthcare and screening for their valued employees.

In order to live up to this statement, the facility has provided an Antenatal Unit, which offers premium antenatal healthcare to expectant mothers. This unit liaises with our Consultation/Diagnostic, Laboratory and Ultrasound Units to ensure that patients are provided with a holistic medical experience.
Antenatal Services
Our nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants are highly experienced, and have been furnished with every necessary equipment to aid in the safe and proper care of all our patients.
Eye Services
Eye and vision care are important services that the Obuasi Diagnostic Centre now offers. The facility has accumulated an array of cutting-edge technology and competent members of staff, with the aim of ensuring that each and every patient is given world-class treatment.
X-Ray Services
According to the modern dictates in internal medicine, x-ray services are indispensable. In order to provide this service, the Obuasi Diagnostic Centre liaised with the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission to build a safe and modern structure, within which to house our state-of-the-art equipment.
Vaccinations
Modern medicine has progressed to the point that there are vaccines for many identified diseases today. It has therefore become a common practice to be vaccinated for certain illnesses like, Hepatitis B, Measles, Tetanus, etc. The Obuasi Diagnostic Centre offers this invaluable service to its clients, with the aim of contributing to the improvement of healthcare in the community.
